Community Counseling and Mediation (CCM) is an innovative, community-based, social service organization providing a wide range of social support, counseling, health, mental health, education and supportive housing services to at-risk children, youth, and families in some of the poorest minority populated areas of Brooklyn.

From its start in our founder's basement in 1982, CCM has grown into an multi-site, multi-service agency offering many distinct and complementary programs. CCM's mission is to respond to the many problems facing at-risk and underserved children, youth and family members in some of the poorest minority populated areas of Brooklyn. The goal is to heal old scars, as well as address early intervention and prevention in our poverty-stricken youth and families.

CCM has since evolved into one of the very few NYC organizations combining culturally sensitive mental health services with a range of educational, health and social activities. Our current programming includes: youth development, foster care prevention, mental health services, foster care and adoption, substance abuse treatment, and supportive housing.
